Cotton On Group Event #cottonongroupxmaspreview

A few weeks ago, I was exposed to the CottonOnGroupXmaspreview. I wish I could start everyday browsing the new range which the Cotton On Group has available for the upcoming season. The trend showcased fashion friendly tropic prints, aquatic blues, mexican fruits, with festive, floral, paradise prints. My eyes were spinning in all directions, as I wanted sooo many goodies of the new range available.

HOT Fashion Trend – Skater/Plimsoll Shoes

Mr Price calls them Plimsoll, Topshop calls them Skaters, I for one am not worried with the name. To me, they are funky, fun and easy to wear with any OOTD taking you from to the office to the nightlife!

HOW TO WEAR THE PLIMSOLL/SKATER FASHION TREND

These fashion babies’ on-trend shoes have being on my wish list for a very long time & have only now recently satisfied my craving. I took the plunge & bought two pairs at Topshop as colour was such a difficult choice. I’ve been waiting for our local Fashion stores to announce their replicas at a more affordable price, but it seems as if its not worth the wait.

Woolworths has done them beautifully in comfort however the colours were neither here nor there.

Foschini’s has it perfect with colour & fabric, but their sizes are a bit larger than usual with these shoes.

Mr. Price has just recent launched their line of Plimsoll at a shocker price of R79. I’ve bought a pair of leopard prints, which I am anxiously waiting for.

Let’s see if the shoe fits?

Who said you can’t buy Faith?

I saw this Bold ‘Slogan’ necklace at Legit store and it screamed buy me, buy me.

It is so HOT and speaks volumes for your outfit, being right on Trend for the season – especially popular in the gold colourway. First seen on the Catwalks, it slowly filtered down to stores ready to purchase at Mr Price and Aldo,  ready to give your plain T-shirt a fashion make-over.

I particularly purchased the “FAITH’ as it is so powerful and will leave everybody’s tongues wagging with commentaries.

Ugg Boots or Ugly Boots

Ugg boots have been around for a long time and won’t disappear from the market-place anytime soon.  You will find that Ugg boots are commonly sold in black, grey and brown and found in numerous stores for a good deal.

I love them as they are so super comfy and with the thick ‘sheepskin’ lining it is like soul food for my feet, permitting me to brave the cold Cape Town winter months.

I should say, I was not always been a big fan of these boots and would just actually wear them to lounge around at home and to pop into the local shop.

However, when I saw these trendy leopard print Ugg boots, I had to have them and with the ridiculous price of R99.00 how could I say no!

Now I am content to parade these fashion friendly print boots everywhere. The soles are super durable to endure outdoor conditions.

What is your take on them?

Fashion Celebs can wear them so can We?

Do you let society tell you what to wear?

nachi,capetown,blogger,fashion-blog,western-cape,south-africa,ootd, clothing, forever21,mrprice,woolworths,trend-sette

I have always been a rebel with my dress-code. I could never conform towards society’s suggestive choices for my attire. Religion and Tradition plays a huge role in the manner women conduct themselves and what they ‘should’ wear. I am too much of a liberal and a fashionista to let this determine my life. Recently, with our scorching hot weather conditions – I chose to wear blue denim shorts. I hope with my creative personality that I wore them stylishly. However, this made a few heads role. Why you ask?  I was told: ‘wearing such revealing outfits is not appropriate as a mother’. With this said, my head turned 360 degrees listening to this bogus. Why should women alter their dress-code when married or when they become moms? I chatted to my husband and asked if he found my sense of style offensive. His response was no, as long as I am comfortable I should wear what I desire.

Here is news for the prudes:  This is my life, my personality! I am a mom, I am still an individual (yes –moms remain individuals). I love diversity and will not allow others to change my views. I will continue to dress charmingly fashion-forward by determining my own decorum.

People will always stare no matter what, so I will give them reason to do so. How far you go with fashion should be your own personal choice. With this said, I prefer not walking around in the nude. LOL!
