As I am of Indian descend, I was blessed with bushy hair, bushy brows and thank goodness, no bushy mustache. The bushy eyebrows were something that really annoyed me when I hit my teenage years. All of us can relate to the the fact that when you are in your teens, it’s all about being beautiful and fabulous.
Without a mom to guide me, as well as living a specific lifestyle in the Cape flats, the pleasures of waxing and threading were completely oblivious to me. Back then, the only thing I was familiar with were tweezers. My fingers became tweezer happy, and before I knew it, my beautiful brows were history.As I grew older, I longed to have them back. I tried all sorts of miracle creams and vitamins. You name it, I’ve tried it! I lost all hope of having them back and resorted to shading them in everyday.I started to resent the decisions I made as a teenager and came to the conclusion that the situation I was in couldn’t be it. There just had to be answer to this very common problem.

This is when I discovered micro blading. I was fascinated by this beauty cosmetic procedure.
However, being the skeptic that I am, I was a bit hesitant at first. After all, this latest cosmetic exercise was a permanent one and there would be no turning back. Besides, this is my face we talking about and this would ultimately be a lifetime choice.

I did tons of research online and even included a few visits to various cosmetics houses to gain as much insight into this procedure as possible. After all of this I finally made up my mind and decided that this is the route I wanted to take. The company that won me over was Powderpuff/Lisl Boshoff, situated in Strand, Cape Town – South Africa. I have followed her for months and have read numerous client reviews. I really appreciated the fact that she posted her work on her site for potential clientele to view her skills.
When I met with her, she explained briefly that micro blading is a form of tattooing, with a 3D effect to give the illusion of hair strokes..

The procedure including consultation was approximately 2 hours. The longest part of the session was waiting for the aesthetic to numb the brow area. You do not feel a thing – it literally feels like someone is drawing lines on your eye brow area. It is generally recommended that you come back in 6 weeks for a touch up, thereafter it should last you between one and two years depending how you manage your brows with the aftercare instructions. It takes approximately 5-10days to heal, and once the scabs fall off, you ready to go.

Prices range between R1700 to R3000.I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with the end results and definitely recommend this procedure to any person lacking eyebrow’s…like I did 

Initially I made the desserts in glass shot glasses for family functions. My sister got married and I made 130 mini desserts for her wedding. The mini desserts are unique as it comes in 7.5 height by 5.5 width and seals completely. Each unit is individually labeled with the brand and type of dessert. All ingredients are freshly prepared and each dessert has an average lifespan of 3 to 5 days.
